The Atlantic Wind Symphony celebrates its fourteenth season in 2011-2012. This unique community ensemble is comprised of 75+ talented woodwind, brass, and percussion instrumentalists from Atlantic Union College, area high schools, and adults from over 20 area towns and cities. Combining musicality with a joyful spirit, the Atlantic Wind Symphony continues to re-establish the golden era of the concert band. The AWS brings dedicated musicians together from several well-loved town and community bands, giving them an opportunity to perform larger works for Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band. As a service to the community, the Atlantic Wind Symphony offers performances throughout the area, seeking to further enrich the region's cultural community.
